Flexible Early Years Practitioner – Chertsey (up to £17/hr)

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic Early Years Practitioners to support nurseries in the Chertsey area on a flexible, temporary basis. Whether you hold a Level 2/3 childcare qualification or have six months of hands‑on experience with children aged 6 months to reception, you can join our team and help create a safe, happy environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist nursery staff in maintaining a clean, safe and stimulating setting for children.
• Engage with three key age groups (0‑4 years) through planned activities and play.
• Support mealtimes, including preparation and feeding of snacks.
• Observe and report any incidents or safeguarding concerns.
• Follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

Required profile

• Minimum six months experience working with children aged 0‑4 years.
• Level 2 or 3 childcare qualification, or equivalent experience.
• Clean, valid DBS check and be aged 17 or older.
• Ability to travel to different nursery locations in Surrey.
• Flexible availability to work a few days per week, including part‑day shifts.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum.
• Understanding of safeguarding procedures.
