Flexible Early Years Practitioner – Yorkshire (Qualified & Unqualified)

About the role

We are seeking flexible Early Years Practitioners, both qualified and unqualified, to support nurseries across the Harrogate area on a temporary, part‑time basis.

Key responsibilities

• Assist nursery teams in creating a safe, clean and happy environment for children.
• Work with three key age groups from 6 months up to reception age.
• Participate in daily activities, engage with children and support learning.
• Help with meals and snack times.
• Report any incidents concerning child safety and wellbeing.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 months experience working with children aged 0‑4 years.
• Level 2 or 3 Childcare qualification, or equivalent experience if unqualified.
• Clean and valid DBS check.
• Age 17 or older.
• 5 years of continuous references (2021‑2026) with explanations for any gaps.
• Based locally or willing to travel to nursery sites.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
• Understanding of safeguarding procedures.

What we offer

• Hourly rate of £13.25‑£17 depending on qualification and experience.
• Flexible shift patterns between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm, with shorter shifts available.
