Flexible Qualified Early Years Practitioner – Hove

About the role

We are seeking qualified Early Years Practitioners to work flexibly across several nurseries in Hove, supporting children aged 0‑5 years. This position offers a variety of settings, adaptable shift patterns and competitive hourly rates, making it ideal for those looking for part‑time or additional work.

Key responsibilities

• Support children aged 0‑5 in daily routines, play and learning activities.
• Help create a safe, nurturing and engaging environment in line with EYFS standards.
• Assist nursery teams with care, health and safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with parents and staff.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of UK nursery experience working with children aged 0‑5.
• Qualified (Level 2/Level 3 or above) in Early Years Education.
• Right to work in the UK and an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain).
• 5‑year reference history with explanations for any employment gaps.

Required skills

• Paediatric First Aid (or willingness to obtain).
• Safeguarding Level 2 Certificate.
