About the role
Hays Education is partnering with welcoming primary schools across the South West to find enthusiastic supply teachers. This flexible position allows you to work across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, fitting your schedule whether you prefer a few days a week or full‑time hours.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned lessons for primary‑age pupils.
- Follow each school’s policies and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Adapt quickly to different classrooms, timetables and school cultures.
- Support pupils’ learning and development through tailored instruction.
- Manage classroom behaviour confidently and professionally.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- Recent experience teaching in UK primary schools.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities.
- Flexibility, reliability and a positive attitude.
