Floor Covering Installer

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Floor Covering Installer to join our renovation team in Cambridge. You will be responsible for preparing, installing, and finishing a variety of floor types in residential projects, ensuring high‑quality workmanship and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
• Prepare flooring plans, schedule installations, and remove existing floor coverings.
• Install hardwood, glue‑down carpet, and vinyl decking materials.
• Conduct moisture, pH, and temperature tests before installation.
• Estimate material quantities and costs.
• Repair damaged floor coverings and perform final finishing.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation.
• 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience.
• Physically capable of handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
• Strong hand‑eye coordination and ability to work safely with steel‑toed boots.
• Efficient interpersonal skills, good judgement, organized, and a team player.
