Floor Manager (Retail)

About the role

As a Floor Manager at JD Sports you will be the driving force behind the shop‑floor experience, ensuring every customer feels valued and the store operates at peak efficiency. You will lead a team of sales associates, uphold brand standards, and contribute to the store’s commercial success in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the shop‑floor team, modelling high standards of customer service.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure the store presents a clean, organised appearance.
• Support daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, stock replenishment and cash handling.
• Drive sales performance by coaching staff on product knowledge and upselling techniques.
• Monitor key performance indicators and report insights to senior management.
• Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain satisfaction.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a retail environment, preferably in a supervisory or floor‑manager role.
• Strong commercial awareness with a focus on achieving sales targets.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Organised, energetic and able to thrive in a high‑energy retail setting.
