FLT Counterbalance Driver / Warehouse Operative

About the role

We are seeking an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver / Warehouse Operative to join a fast‑paced logistics operation on a steady day shift. The role combines forklift driving, freight handling and warehouse coordination within a busy, supportive team environment.

Key responsibilities

• Drive counterbalance forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload box and curtain‑sided trailers.
• Check, prepare and process freight for dispatch.
• Receive and verify inbound freight using unloading lists.
• Use computer systems to print labels, overpaks and confirm quantities.
• Pick and assemble shipments accurately.
• Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised warehouse environment.
• Follow ADR/Dangerous Goods procedures and health & safety standards.

Required profile

• Valid external FLT Counterbalance licence.
• Previous warehouse or logistics experience.
• Confident forklift operator with strong safety awareness.
• Comfortable using basic computer systems.
• Attention to detail, reliability and good communication skills.
