Food and Beverage Assistant – Care Home

About the role

Join Avery Healthcare’s award‑winning team at Cliveden Manor Care Home, supporting residents with their meals and creating a pleasant dining experience. You will work across three daily shifts, helping residents choose meals, setting tables, and maintaining a clean front‑of‑house environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents in selecting meal options and ensure dietary requirements are respected.
• Set up and clear dining tables according to standard operating procedures.
• Keep the front‑of‑house area tidy, remove dirty crockery, and replenish clean dishes throughout the day.
• Ensure fresh homemade cakes, biscuits, finger foods and fruit are available and replenished in the bistro area.
• Maintain awareness of residents’ specific dietary needs.

Required profile

• Demonstrates high standards of personal hygiene.
• Shows compassion, honesty, respect and accountability in daily work.
• Experience in a similar hospitality setting (restaurant, hotel or care home) is desirable.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is beneficial.

Required skills

• Food Hygiene knowledge (basic certification).
