Food & Beverage Assistant (Bank)

About the role

Join Avery Healthcare’s award‑winning team at Bagshot Gardens Care Home as a Food and Beverage Assistant on a bank basis. You will support residents during meals, ensuring a pleasant dining experience while working within a caring, supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents in selecting meal options and serve meals according to their preferences.
• Set dining tables following standard operating procedures and maintain a tidy front‑of‑house area.
• Clear and replace crockery throughout the day, keeping the dining area clean and well‑presented.
• Replenish homemade cakes, biscuits, finger foods and fresh fruit in the bistro areas.
• Monitor and respect residents’ dietary requirements and any special dietary needs.

Required profile

• Demonstrates the values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful and accountable.
• Maintains high standards of personal hygiene.
• Previous experience in a similar setting, restaurant or hotel is desirable.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is beneficial.
• Shows compassion and commitment to delivering quality culinary services to residents.
