Food & Beverage Assistant – Host/Hostess

About the role

We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Food & Beverage Assistant to join our team at Edenbridge Manor Care Home. In this role you will support residents during meals, ensuring a pleasant dining experience while maintaining high standards of hygiene and service.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meal trolleys and clean satellite kitchens.
• Set and clear dining tables according to standard operating procedures.
• Assist residents in choosing their meal options and support “cutlery‑free” dining where required.
• Take orders, serve meals, and help residents with their plates to preserve dignity.
• Display daily menus and ensure they reflect the available meal choices.

Required profile

• Hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate excellent personal hygiene.
• Previous experience in a similar hospitality setting such as a restaurant, hotel or care home.
• Positive attitude towards residents and a compassionate approach to service.

Required skills

• Knowledge of food hygiene standards.
