Food & Beverage Assistant

About the role

As a Food & Beverage Assistant at Barchester Healthcare you will help create a warm and welcoming dining experience for residents, families and visitors. Working closely with the hospitality and kitchen teams, you will support the day‑to‑day delivery of food and beverage services throughout the care home.

Key responsibilities

• Serve meals and refreshments to residents, families and visitors.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of dining areas.
• Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation and service tasks.
• Ensure food hygiene and health‑and‑safety standards are followed.
• Support hospitality team in setting up and clearing dining rooms.

Required profile

• Experience in hospitality, catering or customer‑service environments.
• Friendly, caring and professional attitude.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Understanding of food hygiene and health‑and‑safety practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy setting.
