Food Production Operative – Manufacturing Team

About the role

Join a well‑established, family‑run food manufacturing business as a Food Production Operative. You will work on the shop floor handling meat products, packing finished goods and supporting the daily output of the plant. Full training is provided, making this an ideal entry point for those new to the sector or experienced operatives seeking a stable environment.

Key responsibilities

• Handle meat products safely throughout the production process.
• Pack finished food items ready for dispatch.
• Pick, prepare and fulfil customer orders accurately.
• Complete production paperwork and maintain accurate records.
• Uphold high standards of food hygiene, safety and product quality.
• Meet daily production targets and customer deadlines.
• Follow all health & safety, food hygiene and manufacturing procedures.
• Keep work areas clean, organised and compliant with hygiene standards.
• Collaborate effectively with the production team.

Required profile

• Previous experience in food production, manufacturing or a similar role is beneficial but not essential.
• Comfortable handling meat products.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Reliable with excellent time‑keeping.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
• Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
