Food Tech Teacher – Manchester

About the role

We are partnering with a large Multi‑Academy Trust in Manchester to recruit a passionate Food Tech Teacher. This permanent position starts in September 2026 and offers the chance to inspire students while working within a supportive, creative department.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, high‑quality Food Technology lessons.
• Plan, mark and assess student work independently.
• Maintain excellent classroom management and behaviour standards.
• Motivate students to develop a love for food tech and achieve their best.
• Collaborate with colleagues across a well‑led, welcoming department.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
• Experience teaching Food Tech at KS3 and KS4.
• Strong behaviour management and communication abilities.
• Resilient, dedicated and adaptable teaching approach.
• Early‑career teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply.
• DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain a new one.
• References covering the last two years.
