Food Technology Teacher – Full-time (Long-term Supply)

About the role

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an experienced Food Technology teacher for a long‑term supply position at a successful secondary academy in Oldham, starting September 2026. The role involves delivering practical, curriculum‑aligned lessons to KS3 students in a supportive Catholic academy environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, teach and assess Food Technology lessons for KS3, including food preparation and nutrition topics.
• Maintain a safe and engaging classroom, ensuring all practical activities meet health and safety standards.
• Allocate and complete planning, marking and PPA duties within the timetable.
• Provide general cover duties across the timetable when required.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
• Proven experience teaching Food Technology or Design Technology at secondary level.
• Strong classroom management and ability to deliver high‑quality practical lessons.
• Availability to work full‑time from September 2026.
