Food Technology Teacher – KS3 & KS4 (Temporary)

About the role
We are seeking a passionate Food Technology Teacher to join Meopham School from 1st September. This full‑time, temporary position will initially run until the October half‑term, with the possibility of extension. You will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging practical and theoretical lessons that develop students' culinary skills and nutritional knowledge.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver Food Technology lessons for KS3 and KS4.
- Provide hands‑on cooking sessions and theory instruction.
- Assess, mark and give feedback on student work.
- Maintain effective classroom management and a safe learning environment.
- Collaborate with the department and contribute to curriculum development.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS); early career teachers are encouraged to apply.
- Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to helping every student achieve their potential.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Required skills
- Knowledge of the Food Technology curriculum for KS3 and KS4.
- Lesson planning and preparation.
- Assessment and marking.
