Food Technology Teacher – SEN School (CR0) – Permanent

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Food Technology Teacher to join a supportive Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Croydon (CR0). The role starts permanently in September and focuses on delivering practical, engaging lessons that build life skills, independence and confidence for students with additional needs.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Food Technology lessons to secondary students with special educational needs.
• Plan and prepare practical activities that develop life skills, independence and confidence.
• Assess student progress and provide tailored feedback.
• Maintain a safe, well‑equipped kitchen environment.
• Collaborate with the leadership team and support staff to promote inclusive learning.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level.
• Experience or strong interest in working with SEN pupils.
• Patient, adaptable and committed to inclusive education.
• Excellent classroom management and communication abilities.
