About the role
Tradewind Recruitment is seeking qualified Food Technology teachers for a range of positions across secondary schools in Cheshire. Whether you are an experienced specialist or an early‑career teacher, you will join schools that value practical, hands‑on learning and aim to equip students with essential life skills.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Combine practical cooking sessions with theoretical nutrition and food science content.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain a safe, well‑organised classroom environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues on cross‑curricular projects and school initiatives.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England.
- Demonstrated experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level.
- Ability to manage a classroom effectively and inspire student participation.
- Commitment to delivering both practical and theoretical components of the curriculum.
Required skills
- Experience delivering practical Food Technology lessons.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, nutrition, and culinary techniques.
