Forensic Social Worker – Band 6/7 (Low Secure Ward)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Band 6 or Band 7 Forensic Social Worker to join a low‑secure assessment and treatment ward for adult women at Littlemore Mental Health Centre. The role is full‑time on an ongoing contract, providing specialist social work support within a forensic mental health setting.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver social work assessments and interventions for adult women in a low‑secure forensic environment.
• Work autonomously to develop and implement care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide case management, risk assessment and support throughout the treatment pathway.
• Contribute to the therapeutic environment and uphold safeguarding and legal standards.

Required profile

• Minimum two years post‑graduate social work experience.
• At least two years post‑qualification experience in a mental health setting.
• Proven ability to work autonomously as a social worker.
• Desirable experience within forensic services.
