About the role
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Counterbalance Operator to join DS Smith’s packaging facility in Launceston on a temporary basis. The role involves operating a counter‑balance forklift safely and efficiently within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Key responsibilities
- Operate counterbalance forklift trucks to move, stack and load products across the warehouse and production areas.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt in line with distribution schedules.
- Assist with stock management, including inventory checks and proper storage of materials.
- Follow strict health and safety procedures to maintain a secure workplace.
Required profile
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift licence.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
- Ability to work a double‑days shift pattern reliably.
- Strong communication and commitment to safety standards.

What we offer
- Hourly rate of £13.98.
- 37‑hour work week with rotating double‑days shifts.
