Forklift Driver – Material Handler (Full-time, 12-month contract)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our client’s team in Heysham. This full‑time, 12‑month position involves supporting essential logistics operations in a safety‑focused warehouse environment.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately receive, unpack, and book goods using the JDE computer system.
• Manage inventory by locating bulk items to hazard warehouses and picking stock for repack orders.
• Perform cycle counts and resolve location discrepancies to ensure inventory integrity.
• Coordinate export shipments, ensuring precise documentation and compliance with transport regulations.
• Handle fine chemicals in accordance with rigorous safety and exposure management protocols.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely, adhering to all site security, environmental, and quality policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a warehouse, goods‑in/out, or materials handling environment.
• Forklift Truck (FLT) licence.
• Strong proficiency in warehouse and inventory management systems.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
• Basic computer literacy and effective communication skills for team collaboration.
