About the role
First Military Recruitment are seeking a Forklift Engineer on behalf of a client. The role involves routine maintenance and repairs of forklift trucks and other lifting equipment to ensure quality, professionalism and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Servicing and repairing forklift trucks and other lifting equipment.
- Carrying out routine maintenance, including checking oil, fuel levels, hoses, connections, steering and brakes.
- Performing basic electrical checks such as brake lights.
- Liaising with customers on their requirements and submitting accurate parts requisition information to Head Office.
Required profile
- Good mechanical engineering background.
- Customer‑focused with strong communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence.
Required skills
- Forklift truck maintenance.
- Mechanical maintenance (oil/fuel, hoses, steering, brakes).
- Basic electrical troubleshooting (e.g., brake lights).
