Forklift Operator – Goods In & Hazardous Materials Handling

About the role

Join Tradebe UK, a leader in recycling and circular economy, as a Forklift Operator supporting goods‑in operations. You will work outdoors in all weather conditions, handling drums, pallets and IBCs while ensuring safety and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Operate forklift trucks to load and unload 205 ltr drums, pallets and IBCs from trailers.
• Open, check and sample drum, pallet and IBC contents in line with transport documentation.
• Segregate hazardous materials by category and store them in the correct locations.
• Investigate non‑conformances, report issues and liaise with site personnel.
• Maintain accurate shift handover logs and communicate vehicle status to relevant teams.
• Monitor equipment condition, report faults promptly and support continuous‑improvement initiatives.

• Effective communication skills for shift handovers and cross‑department updates.
• Attention to detail when inspecting and sampling incoming materials.
