Forklift Operator – Hybrid Role in Wigan

About the role

We are seeking a safety‑driven Forklift Operator for a hybrid position in a busy food‑production environment in Wigan. The role combines traditional forklift duties with line and machine work, offering a varied shift pattern across days and nights.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a counter‑balance forklift to move raw materials, work‑in‑progress and finished goods.
• Perform line and machine tasks on the production floor as required.
• Load and unload pallets, prepare products for dispatch and ensure accurate stock placement.
• Maintain high standards of product quality and hygiene in a food‑manufacturing setting.
• Adapt to different departments, supporting production needs and training where necessary.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 months experience operating a forklift truck.
• Valid forklift counter‑balance licence (accredited).
• Ability to work rotating day, double‑day and night shifts.
• Reliable transport to the site.
• Willingness to work with minimal supervision and follow safety procedures.

Required skills

• Forklift counterbalance licence.
