Forward Deployment Engineer – Inside IR35

About the role

We are seeking a Forward Deployment Engineer to join a fast‑moving technology team building next‑generation AI and agentic analytics solutions. This hands‑on, 6‑month contract role will focus on rapidly turning ideas into working software, delivering real value across a complex enterprise environment. The position is hybrid, requiring one day per week onsite in the City of London.

Key responsibilities

• Rapidly prototype, build and validate AI‑driven solutions, moving concepts from idea to demo in days.
• Develop components using large language models (LLMs), retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG), prompt engineering and modern agent frameworks.
• Collaborate with architects, product leaders and engineers to de‑risk emerging technologies and shape future solutions.
• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to accelerate delivery.
• Integrate solutions with existing platforms built on C#/.NET, Angular and Python.

Required profile

• Strong software engineering experience with C#/.NET Core, Angular/TypeScript and Python.
• Practical experience working with AI technologies including LLMs, RAG, agent frameworks and prompt engineering.
• Proven track record of rapidly building prototypes, MVPs and proof‑of‑concepts.
• Experience within insurance, reinsurance, risk analytics or financial services environments.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, GitHub and Agile delivery practices.
