Foundation Coach

About the role

The Foundation Coach will deliver high‑quality football sessions to children and young people (aged 4‑18) across Sussex, primarily based in Uckfield. You will work directly with participants, parents, partners and internal staff to create a safe, inclusive and engaging environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and deliver community football sessions in line with the Foundation’s delivery DNA.
• Maintain session registers, upload attendance and performance data to internal tracking systems.
• Ensure all safety and safeguarding guidelines are followed during each session.
• Liaise with partners, parents and participants to build strong working relationships.
• Report any incidents or concerns promptly according to safeguarding procedures.

Required profile

• Dynamic, high‑energy individual who thrives working with young people.
• Proven experience planning and delivering football coaching sessions.
• Understanding of child protection issues and commitment to safeguarding.
• Hold current FA Safeguarding and Emergency Aid certificates.
• Hold an FA Level 1 coaching badge (Level 2 preferred).
• Based in Uckfield or surrounding areas.
