Foundation Studies Lecturer

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Foundation Studies Lecturer to join a leading further education college in Widnes on a temporary basis. The role involves delivering engaging lessons and supporting learners with additional learning needs to develop academic, personal and employability skills.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a varied curriculum covering English, Maths, Life Skills, Independent Living and Job Club.
• Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to learners’ needs.
• Support learners in developing independence, confidence and employability.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including Additional Learning Support staff.

Required profile

• Recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching in Further Education, Foundation Learning or SEND settings.
• Commitment to promoting independence and positive outcomes for learners.
• Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.

• Hourly rate of £33‑£37.
• 31‑hour per week temporary contract starting 1 September.
