Founding Engineer, Infrastructure & Platform

About the role

Join a seed‑stage AI‑native risk infrastructure startup that is already generating seven‑figure revenue and preparing for a Series A round. As the fifth engineer, you will own the core backend and platform infrastructure, working side‑by‑side with the founders to ship secure, compliant services for regulated enterprises.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end backend services, from architecture through deployment and operation.
• Design, build and maintain the Azure infrastructure using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement multi‑tenant isolation across compute, data and network layers.
• Develop and enforce compliance controls for SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
• Deliver product features alongside infrastructure work, collaborating closely with the founding team on architecture decisions.
• Leverage AI tooling such as Claude Code to increase productivity.

Required profile

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience with full ownership of infrastructure.
• Hands‑on production experience with Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong professional experience in TypeScript or Node.js (or Go).
• Proven track record designing and implementing SOC 2, ISO 27001, IAM and network‑segmentation controls.
• Based in London or willing to relocate on‑site.
