Foundry Production Operative – Exeter

About the role

Join Howmet Aerospace as a Foundry Production Operative at the Sowton Industrial Estate in Exeter. You will work in a high‑temperature foundry environment producing critical aerospace components, with full training provided for both experienced candidates and those new to the sector.

Key responsibilities

• Pour and handle molten metal safely following strict procedures.
• Move, position and process heavy castings.
• Operate production equipment efficiently while adhering to health, safety and quality standards.
• Wear specialist PPE, including fire‑resistant clothing, at all times.
• Collaborate with a skilled team to meet production targets.

Required profile

• Enjoy practical, hands‑on work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Good physical stamina and ability to perform manual handling.
• Comfortable working in a hot industrial setting.
• Reliable, strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work a rotating three‑shift pattern.
• Previous manufacturing or foundry experience is beneficial but not essential.
