FP&A Analyst

About the role

Butler Rose is partnering with a leading manufacturing business in Plymouth to hire an ambitious FP&A Analyst. You will support budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting and financial modelling, providing insight for strategic decisions and helping to modernise the finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Support budgeting, forecasting and long‑range planning processes.
• Produce monthly performance reports and variance analysis.
• Develop rolling forecasts and financial models.
• Analyse revenue, margins, costs and operational performance.
• Prepare board and senior leadership reporting.
• Drive improvements in reporting, automation and FP&A systems.
• Assist with ad‑hoc analysis and finance transformation initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified or part‑qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
• Strong analytical and commercial mindset.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Financial modelling.
• Experience with Planful, Power BI, Power Query or ERP systems (desirable).
