FP&A Manager

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious FP&A Manager to build and lead a new finance planning function within a fast‑growing manufacturing business. Reporting to the Group Accountant, you will partner with production, supply chain and tendering teams to deliver commercial insight that drives strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the budgeting, forecasting and financial planning cycle.
• Produce costing and pricing analyses to support commercial decisions.
• Collaborate with production, supply chain and tendering to improve profitability.
• Develop financial models, reports and KPIs that provide clear business insight.
• Analyse manufacturing costs, margins and operational performance, recommending efficiency improvements.
• Identify and implement enhancements to reporting processes and financial controls.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and provide constructive commercial challenge.
• Shape and embed the newly created FP&A function across the organisation.

Required profile

• Self‑starter with a high degree of autonomy.
• Proven experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment, focusing on costing, pricing and operational analysis.
• Professional qualification such as CIMA, ACA or ACCA, with strong commercial finance experience.
• Ambitious, personable and able to influence senior stakeholders.
