FPGA Design Engineer

About the role

Technical Futures Ltd is building a new FPGA team within its thriving technical consultancy. As an FPGA Design Engineer you will turn client requirements into robust FPGA‑based solutions for cutting‑edge radar, communications and sensing projects.

Key responsibilities

• Translate customer specifications into high‑quality FPGA/DSP implementations.
• Develop designs primarily on Xilinx silicon using the Vivado toolchain.
• Participate in design reviews and collaborate closely with hardware, software and systems engineers.
• Engage with clients on a technical level, offering advice and innovative problem‑solving ideas.
• Apply open‑architecture standards such as OpenCPI, STICS or SOSA where appropriate.

Required profile

• Strong background in HDL development and digital signal processing.
• Experience with open‑architecture standards (OpenCPI, STICS, SOSA) is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to work in a consultancy environment and communicate effectively with clients.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and capable of handling challenging technical problems.
