FPGA Developer – High‑Frequency Trading Firm

About the role

The team is part of a fast‑growing quantitative trading group that blends a start‑up spirit with the stability of an established HFT fund. As an FPGA Developer you will work closely with traders and technologists to design, implement and maintain low‑latency hardware solutions that power the firm’s trading infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise HDL code (SystemVerilog/VHDL) for high‑performance FPGA platforms.
• Collaborate with C++ developers to integrate hardware and software components.
• Maintain and enhance Linux‑based infrastructure supporting FPGA deployments.
• Solve numerical and algorithmic challenges across CPU, GPU and FPGA architectures.
• Provide technical leadership and potentially transition to a Team Lead role after 12 months.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on HDL development experience.
• Strong C++ background and familiarity with Linux system programming.
• Proven ability to bridge hardware and software solutions in a high‑throughput, low‑latency environment.
• Willingness to work in a collaborative, fast‑paced trading setting.
• Not a fresh graduate; senior‑level expertise expected.
