FRA Working Foreperson (Fire Protection)

About the role

Ian Williams is seeking an experienced FRA Working Foreperson to lead a growing team delivering Passive Fire Protection projects across Bristol and Swindon. You will be the on‑site point of contact, ensuring work meets the required standards while supporting a skilled trade workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Provide detailed reports to the Contract Manager for accurate costing and ordering.
• Set up, monitor and sign off subcontractor and directly employed labour on site.
• Manage daily team productivity and communicate progress to the Contracts Manager.
• Conduct health and safety checks, including PPE, vehicle and equipment inspections.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 2 in Passive Fire Protection (beneficial).
• Proven experience managing Passive Fire Protection works.
• SSSTS and First Aid at Work certifications.
• Full, current UK driving licence.
• Ability to lead and motivate a mixed trade workforce.

Required skills

• Passive Fire Protection knowledge.
