Fractional Bookkeeper (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a fractional Bookkeeper to support a portfolio of fast‑moving UK businesses. The role is project‑based, allowing you to work across multiple clients, manage your own schedule and deliver accurate financial records without constant supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Perform bank and ledger reconciliations for client accounts.
• Manage expense processing and classification.
• Prepare management accounts and periodic financial reports.
• Compile and submit VAT returns in line with UK regulations.
• Ensure compliance with HMRC requirements and Making Tax Digital standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a bookkeeper within UK accounting standards.
• Familiarity with HMRC, Making Tax Digital and UK VAT regulations.
• Ability to work independently across several clients and meet tight deadlines.
• Immediate availability – no notice period.
