Freight Sales Coordinator

About the role

Our client, a growing freight and logistics company in Basildon, is seeking an ambitious Freight Sales Coordinator. You will support the sales team by preparing quotations, managing client relationships and contributing to business development in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare competitive quotations for overseas agents and partners.
• Monitor FOB and EXW shipments for existing clients.
• Proactively contact customers to follow up on shipments and discuss future freight needs.
• Support the external sales team with follow‑up on visits, quotations and sales opportunities.
• Maintain and update sales and purchase tariffs to keep pricing accurate.
• Collaborate with the social media team on targeted sales and marketing campaigns.
• Produce monthly sales reports and performance updates for directors.
• Provide administrative and operational support to the wider Sales Department.
• Build strong customer relationships and identify opportunities to maximise business.

Required profile

• Minimum of one year experience in sales within freight forwarding or logistics.
• Good understanding of freight operations and terminology (FOB, EXW).
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Strong customer‑service mindset with a proactive, professional approach.
• Organised, able to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑moving environment.

What we offer

• Competitive salary £28,000‑£30,000 per year.
