French Speaking Finance Lead (Remote UK)

About the role

A major producer of materials for global manufacturers is looking for a French-speaking Finance Lead on a remote UK basis. The role reports to the US-based Director of Operational Finance and covers the accounting functions of a small finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the France finance team in monthly accounting close, reporting and forecasting
• Oversee monthly forecasting for sales, income statement and cash flow
• Manage statutory accounting processes: journal entries, reconciliations, month and year-end close, trial balance and tax returns
• Lead monthly, quarterly and yearly financial closings and analysis, including trial balance review, flux analysis and payroll coordination
• Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley financial certifications
• Review journal entries, reconciliations and the month-end close process
• Guide external and internal audit requirements

Required profile

• Fluent in English and French, written and spoken
• Experience in multi-national, multi-currency organisations
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
• High-achieving individual with a solid accounting background

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and statutory accounts
• Financial planning and analysis (FP&A)
