French Teacher (Temporary Full-Time) – Blackburn

About the role
We are looking for a dedicated French Teacher to join a well‑established mainstream secondary school in Blackburn. The role runs full‑time from September 2026 to December 2026 and offers the chance to teach Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils in a supportive environment.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess French lessons for KS3 and KS4 in line with the national curriculum.
- Create engaging learning activities that motivate students and develop their language skills.
- Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback and intervene where additional support is needed.
- Maintain accurate records of planning, marking and reporting.
- Contribute to wider school life, including extracurricular activities and departmental meetings.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
- Proven experience teaching French in a UK secondary school.
- Strong classroom management and the ability to inspire learners.
- Availability for the full September‑December 2026 period.
