Fresh Manager

About the role

The Fresh Manager will lead the Fresh department of an Asda superstore, ensuring high product availability, safety, and excellent shop‑floor standards. You will be responsible for day‑to‑day operations, waste control, and compliance with date‑code regulations while creating a safe environment for customers and colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute trading activity on the shop floor to meet availability targets and key performance metrics.
• Drive shrink reduction initiatives and manage waste and date‑code compliance.
• Lead, coach and develop the Fresh team to improve routines, processes and sales performance.
• Ensure promotional and modular activities are delivered on brief and on time.
• Maintain a safe, legal and customer‑friendly store environment.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Team Leader or Supervisor in a retail setting.
• Operational knowledge of food or non‑food departments.
• Proven ability to improve availability, reduce waste and manage shrink.
• Strong organisational skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and evenings.
