Front End Developer – React & TypeScript (FinTech)

About the role

Our client, a leading FinTech firm, is looking for a Front End Developer to join their Newcastle office. You will build intuitive, high‑performance user interfaces for advanced trading and analytics platforms used by global financial institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop responsive web applications using React and TypeScript.
• Implement real‑time features with Websockets or SignalR.
• Collaborate with back‑end and UX teams to translate requirements into functional UI components.
• Maintain code quality, performance, and scalability through best practices and automated testing.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of the front‑end architecture.

Required profile

• 2:1 or higher degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong recent experience with modern front‑end frameworks, especially React.
• Proficiency in TypeScript.
• Experience with real‑time communication technologies such as Websockets or SignalR.
• Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration platforms.
• Enthusiasm for creating clean, usable, and engaging interfaces.
