Front of House Manager / Reception Manager

About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated leader with a passion for wellness and exceptional hospitality to manage the front‑of‑house operations of our spa and club. You will ensure a seamless, welcoming experience for all guests while driving high standards of service and operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee daily front‑of‑house operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Lead and motivate the team through regular meetings, performance monitoring, and recognition of achievements.
- Handle customer enquiries, bookings, and complaints promptly and accurately.
- Manage VIP, journalist and press arrivals to provide a flawless experience.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance overall service delivery.
- Conduct bi‑annual performance appraisals in partnership with the Spa Manager.
- Manage staff rotas, absences, holidays and payroll processing.
- Maintain spotless public spa areas and coordinate cleaning standards.
- Oversee food and beverage service, control stock, and deliver allergen training.
- Identify and implement revenue‑growth initiatives with the Spa Manager and Director.
- Coordinate cleaning teams to uphold high hygiene standards.
- Manage online treatment availability alongside the Treatments Manager.
- Open and close the spa, reconcile daily transactions, and run family swim sessions.
- Conduct monthly stock takes of towels and robes and order supplies as needed.
- Ensure GDPR compliance at reception and maintain reception equipment functionality.
- Perform any reasonable tasks requested by senior management to support smooth operations.
