Fuel Terminal Operator

About the role

We are seeking a Fuel Terminal Operator to join a top‑tier COMAH site in Portishead on a permanent basis. You will be part of a 24/7 team responsible for the safe and efficient control, receipt, handling, storage and delivery of fuel.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and control basic plant and equipment to defined quality specifications.
• Manage pipeline receipts, tank‑to‑tank transfers, road tanker receipts and loading.
• Set up pumping routes for fuel receipt, delivery and inter‑site movement.
• Report and investigate deviations from normal operating conditions and handle basic process upsets.
• Maintain stock records and investigate any discrepancies.

Required profile

• Safety‑focused operations professional with experience in an industrial, engineering, process or regulated environment.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to safe working practices.
• Relevant NVQ Level 2 qualification and experience in a regulated industry.
• Previous experience on a COMAH site or in a fuel‑handling environment is highly advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence.
