Full Stack Developer – 6‑12 month contract

About the role

We are seeking a Full Stack Developer to join a leading UK media organisation on a 6‑12 month contract. You will work within an agile, cross‑functional team to design, build and maintain a platform that powers live commerce, marketplaces and real‑time purchasing experiences for a global audience.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain front‑end interfaces using React and back‑end services, APIs and databases.
• Monitor platform performance, investigate incidents and resolve production issues.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate user and seller requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Document existing functionality and newly delivered features.
• Support migration of legacy products onto a unified platform.
• Contribute to code quality standards and large‑scale migration initiatives.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong focus on backend development.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Solid understanding of database design, data modelling and SQL optimisation.
• Hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform services.
• Proven ability to work effectively in agile, cross‑functional teams.
