Full Stack Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Full‑Stack Engineer to join the software engineering team at Dare, an energy‑trading firm based in London. You will work on the firm’s proprietary trading and risk platforms that power real‑time pricing, risk management, analytics and execution across volatile markets.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and own end‑to‑end features spanning frontend UI, backend services and data/storage layers.
• Develop user‑facing applications using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React.
• Build backend APIs and services with languages like Python, Go or Java.
• Contribute to system architecture and technical design discussions focusing on robustness, scalability and reliability.
• Write clean, maintainable, well‑tested code across multiple layers of the stack.
• Debug and resolve issues from the UI through to infrastructure.
• Participate in on‑call rotations, including night shifts for ICE market opening hours, and provide second‑line support.
• Improve engineering standards, tooling and processes as the team scales.

Required profile

• Strong full‑stack development experience with ownership of features across the stack.
• Ability to work collaboratively with end users, senior management and other engineers.
• Willingness to take on on‑call duties and support critical market‑opening periods.

Required skills

• React (or similar modern JavaScript framework)
• JavaScript/TypeScript
• Python, Go or Java for backend development
• Experience with APIs, data storage and cloud‑based services
