Full Stack Engineer (Remote, London office one day/month)

About the role

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join a well‑established IT services and consultancy business. You will design, build and maintain scalable web applications, working closely with Product Managers, UX Designers and fellow engineers. The role is mostly remote, with one day per month required in our London office.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain front‑end and back‑end components using TypeScript, React and NestJS.
• Collaborate with product, UX and engineering teams to deliver user‑focused solutions.
• Translate requirements into clean, maintainable, well‑structured code.
• Ensure applications meet performance, reliability and security standards.
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to coding standards and architectural decisions.
• Support testing, debugging and troubleshooting activities.
• Work within Agile delivery frameworks (planning, refinement, retrospectives).
• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code to boost productivity.

Required profile

• Strong experience with modern front‑end frameworks, especially React.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and experience building server‑side applications.
• Hands‑on experience with back‑end frameworks like NestJS (or Spring Boot).
• Solid understanding of databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) and API design.
• Familiarity with containerisation (Docker) and cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS a plus).
• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban).
• Good problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Interest in or experience with AI‑assisted development tools.
