Full Stack Product Engineer

About the role

Norton Rose Fulbright is building a new R&D capability focused on data-driven and AI-enabled products for legal services. The Full-Stack Product Engineer owns the user-facing applications used by lawyers and business teams, turning complex, document- and data-heavy workflows into clear, usable experiences. It is a frontend-led full-stack role, working closely with AI engineers, data engineers and data scientists.

Key responsibilities

• Own the frontend architecture and UX of R&D products from prototype to production release.
• Build accessible, responsive web apps and internal tools with TypeScript, React and Next.js.
• Create user journeys and interfaces for AI-assisted work, including search, document review, structured outputs and evidence views.
• Build reusable frontend components in line with the R&D design system.
• Integrate data sources, search and retrieval services, Microsoft 365 sources and document repositories into workflows.
• Deploy and operate React and Next.js apps in Azure, with authentication, authorisation and data-access controls via Microsoft Entra ID.
• Use Docker, Git, CI/CD and write code with unit, integration and end-to-end tests.

Required profile

• At least three years of full-stack software engineering experience in a product or SaaS environment.
• Demonstrable experience shipping and operating web apps used by real users.
• Experience deploying and operating React or Next.js apps in Azure, and implementing authentication and authorisation with Microsoft Entra ID.
• Experience integrating AI features such as LLMs, retrieval, search and document processing.
• Experience with component libraries, design systems, secure coding, Docker, Git and CI/CD.
• Experience with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Microsoft Graph or Microsoft 365 integrations, and Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Bicep or Terraform is desirable.
