Full Stack Python Developer (Contract)

About the role

A global retail business is looking for a Full Stack Python Developer to join their technology team on an initial 6‑month contract. This hands‑on position involves building and maintaining customer‑facing and internal platforms across the full stack with a Python‑based backend.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain full‑stack web applications with a Python backend.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs.
• Work across both backend services and frontend interfaces.
• Collaborate with product, QA and other engineering teams.
• Write clean, tested, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
• Contribute to architecture and technical decision‑making.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across the stack.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience as a Full Stack Developer using Python (Django or Flask).
• Proficiency with JavaScript and Typescript and modern frontend frameworks.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL and API design.
• Ability to work on‑site in London two days per week and comfortable in an agile environment.
