Full-Time English Teacher – Secondary School (Cambridge)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate English Teacher to join a Good‑rated secondary school in Cambridgeshire from September 2026. This full‑time, long‑term position involves teaching Key Stages 3 and 4 and contributing to a supportive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons for KS3 and KS4.
• Create an inclusive classroom that encourages participation.
• Assess, monitor and track student progress effectively.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
• Contribute positively to the wider school community.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching English in a secondary school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting child welfare.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
