Full-time Food Technology Teacher (Maternity Cover)

About the role

We are supporting a successful secondary school in Bexley to find an enthusiastic Food and Nutrition Teacher for a maternity cover starting September 2026. You will plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons for pupils from KS3 to KS5, inspiring a love of healthy eating, nutrition and practical cooking.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver curriculum‑aligned Food Technology lessons for KS3‑KS5.
• Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Create an inclusive, positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the department.
• Maintain high expectations for pupil achievement.
• Potentially take on additional departmental duties.

Required profile

• Qualified Food Technology teacher (QTS or equivalent overseas qualification).
• Genuine passion for food, nutrition and student development.
• Creative, enthusiastic and flexible teaching style.
• Commitment to improving learning outcomes for all pupils.
• Ability to work within the London borough of Bexley.
