About the role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Welling, Bexley. This full‑time role starts in September and offers the chance to inspire young learners during a crucial stage of their education.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and creative lessons across the Year 1 curriculum
- Plan, assess, and monitor pupil progress
- Deliver high‑quality phonics sessions using the Letters and Sounds programme
- Create a positive, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Previous experience teaching in a UK primary school or successful completion of teacher training placements
- Experience teaching Year 1 or Key Stage 1 (highly desirable)
- Strong classroom management skills
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- A passion for supporting every child to reach their full potential
