About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Wythenshawe, Manchester, supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs (SEND). This full‑time, long‑term position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on children’s learning and wellbeing.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils with SEND, including ASD, communication difficulties, social and emotional challenges.
- Collaborate closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning strategies.
- Encourage pupil engagement in classroom activities and promote independence.
- Adapt teaching resources to ensure curriculum accessibility for all children.
- Occasionally support the Reception class when required.
Required profile
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, especially with SEND pupils (highly desirable).
- A patient, caring, and proactive approach to working with children.
- Strong communication skills to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Commitment to making learning accessible and enjoyable for every student.

- Competitive hourly rate of £14.25‑£16.65.
- Working hours from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm with a 30‑minute break.
